These worked like a charm when my 60 year old twin-sized teak bed developed a slight bow, which allowed several middle slats to fall out (in the middle of the night, of course). No more collapsing. I didn't need to cut them to size, but your experience for your vintage bed may vary.

Very sturdy

These arrived bowed (bent) in a u shape. They were wrapped up together but not flat. Also much thinner wood than I expected. This was a total rip-off and they are not advertised as sold (e.g. FLAT!). Cannot use on the bunkbed, and they are too thin to even be effective to hold the mattress up. Do yourself a favor and got to IKEA to pick up your slats or a furniture store. These were expensive and totally useless. This seller should be embarressed for selling such sub-par product.

Grown man falls back onto bed after long stressful day at work........ snap snap snap. Oh what was that? The sounds of our bed slates breaking! No surprise there DUH! So purchased these to repair. We had to cut down a little but luckily we have not had any more incidents! Please keep your fingers crossed for me!

Slat dimensions are as advertised. Desc says they are bowed and they are. Bow was greater than anticipated, so only 3 stars. Amount of bow should have been stated in desc. Individual slats appear to be of high quality.Engineered wood is strong, but will have little if any flex. Hope they don't snap at some point.

This was a convenient solution when our original slats of an inexpensive bed we purchased for our guestroom cracked.I don't feel the quality was an improvement over the ones that broke but so far, they've held up.

I bought these to repair an upholstered chair that someone sat down in too hard. Since the chair is in the entryway and only used when people sit to take their shoes off or put them on, the chair doesn't get much use. I looked everywhere for replacement parts I needed but couldn't find them, then I came across these. I had to cut them down nearly in half in order to make them fit in the chair. They ended up being perfect for the fix. The curvature was identical to the boards already in place and the plastic holders at the ends are identical to the holders on the slat bedframes. I cut all five boards down and replaced all the original boards in the chair. We will see how well the boards hold up over time.

These slats are the sturdiest I have found. I used them to replace broken slats on my Delano RV fold away bed. The slats can be cut to length and fit right into the original plastic mounts. These slats were longer than the originals so I cut from both ends by measuring what I needed then divided the difference in half so i could cut it from the ends and get a balanced arch from the slats.
