It functions correctly.It’s kinda hard to format it, in order to format the device to external I had to use ChromeOS which is kinda weird but other than that it works perfectly fine.Yes, it is actually 512GBGood build quality, the same as other SSDs I’ve used.SSDs are better than HDDs, they’re faster, cheaper, and less fragile.It’s is the normal 2.5” bay size with the SATA port so it fits into any normal drive bays.It’s the circuit board PCB with the plastic case (yes, I took it apart) but it’s well mounted in there. And SSDs don’t produce any heat.And unlike HDDs they don’t spin so they are completely silent as well.It’s easy to plug in, you just slide it into the drive bay, plug it in, and it works.It looks exactly like in the picture. Great easy way to add more space to a PC. Plug and play almost, I just needed to initialize the drive at first so if you install it and it doesn't show up you might need to initialize it before it will show up as a usable drive in Windows.

This SSD installed easily, replacing a mechanical HD, that was 15 years old.Installed a new OS, and this boots fast.!

I bought 2 of these for game storage drives and they work great for that. I have filled both of them to about 2/3 capacity and the read speeds are comparable to my older Samsung 860 Evo SSD.On sustained writes they take a bit of a dive but games only write to save and they let you know when they're doing that. I have not noticed them taking longer to save with these drives. They might take a little longer or they might be the same or faster.If they last 4-5 years I am fine with them. My 860 was bought in 2020 and is still 96% good. My 840 Evo is starting to show it's age at 94%. I have only had bad luck with one SSD and it was an early Sandisk. Lasted about a year before it died on me.The attached image is a crystal disk mark comparison. On the left is my Samsung 860 and on the right is my new Teamgroup AX2. Very comparable results and as mentioned I bought these for storage. I guess a guy could use them as their OS drive if they wanted. The 860 was once my OS drive.

After several months of testing I can say this have been a great purchase, amazing price too
