It displaded beautifully on my front door.

I had to return this item because I could not remove the old door knocker. I broke one screw and former owners painted over the screws that it meant damaging the door to get it off (so I polished the existing one). Meanwhile, this was just what I wanted. It was beautiful, it did not look cheesy. It would be an elegant addition to any door.However, I did begin the installation process and found that the supplied hardware is not wide enough for a solid core door. To buy the correct hw is a nightmare, nothing quite fits. Maybe its metric, maybe US standard, who knows? Nothing really fit. Who knew it would be so hard to buy simple screws? It was still very nice looking and I thought good value, but just as well that I had to return it.

Unfortunately the screw that secures the nob style striker to the door is not straight. The screw is straight so it must be what it screws into that is making it lean to one side and making it not straight. Therefore I could not have it fitted. Also in the picture the knocker looks more of a gold colour which it is not and the screw supplied is not that big. Unfortunately due to the fault with the screw fitting I need to return this. Please advise me how to do this. I need someone to contact me regarding a replacement or refund. I have been chasing this now for weeks.I am very disappointed that no one has contacted me to return this item I have no contact since December when I first posted this and it is now the 16 March 2023.

Le heurtoir de porte et bien en laiton par-contre ce qui et dommage c'est de ne pas avoir les vis de fixation en laiton qui vont avec ,car ça oblige à acheter des vis en laiton ailleurs qu'on ne trouve pas dans tous les magasin de bricolage.La finition n'est pas mal en même temps ce n'est qu'un heurtoir de porte, j'enlève une étoile ,car il n'y a pas les vis de fixation et parce que la base n'est pas bien plane et que ça pourrait être mieux autrement je recommande ça apportera une petite touche décorative a une belle porte d'entrée.

Love this stately door knocker. My horoscope is Leo, so I love adding lions to my decor. This looks rich and stately. Only problem was, they packed in used a box and I thought I got the wrong thing at first and asked Amazon for a return. In actuality, it was perfectly fine, just packaged in a odd box.
