4 coats will be brilliant shine and last for over 5 years. 2 coats will be satin finish.
Been using this butcher block sealer for years. It last for years also project after project. I recommend 4 coats and last coat to be thickest for a brilliant shiny finish. 1000 grit light sanding before every coat. Smell strong but not as bad as other products. Easy to apply with a cloth or old white socks. Resistant to water and anything spill on it. I used on island butcher block for 6 years still going strong. Just did a full kitchen on a house with butcher counter top with 4 coats. it looks amazing.

Love this stuff! Used on my kitchen counter. We've spilled coffee and blueberry juice found it when it was dried. It cleaned right up with soapy water, no stains!

I've used Watco to finish bowls and cutting boards for years.Shake it before using, it thickens over age, I use a little mineral spirit to thin it out.

Easy to apply and a simple way to build a nice protective finish
Watco wood sealing products are great when used with best practice. Patience is always needed when using oil-based products. After using Watco products for more than 40 years, I have achieved excellent results with getting the finish to come out as intended.
