Spectacular finish and super simple to use

I started with anthracite wheels on my silver Audi, and everyone thought they were black. Against a light color car, anything dark just looks black. Got 4+ years out of that dip until having tires mounted messed it up, so time to try something new.For the color in the attached pics, I swapped the typical black base for a gray base to lighten it up. I found basic colors locally for quite a bit less than I could order them, so shop around. The graphite is more of a clear with graphite flakes, so the base color will show through. My exact recipe was 4 coats gray, 2 coats graphite, and 2 coats glossifier (more for protection than shine). Do at least 4 full cans of base for it to peel right and cover once dried. When the cans get low, they can sputter a bit. Once that happens, use the remainder of the can to overspray on the tire sidewalls so it’ll peel off in one clean layer once done. This is a great product in the right hands. Do some research and watch some DYC videos before attempting. Your patience will be rewarded.

Don't forget that these are thinner than regular plasti dip!

I have been using Plasti Dip for a few years now, and it has certainly come a long way! This was my first time using the metalizer, and I should have remembered that the colors containing clear are thinner than standard dip and will run easier. The cap color is what you're supposed to get if you spray it over flat black plasti dip. I wanted something a little bit lighter, so I started with white. In hindsight, I probably should have split the difference and gone with the gunmetal gray. The color I ended up with is more or less a copper pearl. I kinda like it, but it's not the 'dark silver metallic' I had in mind. I will upload photos as I have time.As with all plasti dip products, the beauty of it is being able to easily peel it off and start over if you mess it up, which does end up costing a bit of money but less in the long run compared to paint. The only problems I had with this are my own fault. :)

great addition to Plasti-dripped wheels.

I had plastidipped my 05 BMW wheels, they were quite dinged up and honestly the flat gray the stock wheels had just wasn't doing it for me. The flat back of plastidip didn't pop enough so I added the metalizer and the gloss to give them a bit more "pop." I am happy with how they came out, I usually follow up a wash with Adams VRT to give the wheels a bit more shine.

Would buy again

I had just black on my wheels before but thought I’d give metalizer a go on top, since I had to redo my wheels anyway. I put a base 7 coats of black (3 cans on all 4 wheels) and then first tried 3 coats of metalizer (1 can). I included a pic of that (still looks plain black). It wasn’t what I envisioned so I put on a total of 5 coats and the final product (also pictured) is nice. I like it. It definitely gives the wheels a more “professional” look to it compared to just the matte/silky black. I also did 7 coats on the Mazda emblem black and 4 coats metalizer on it. Looks lighter than the wheels but it gives it a nice, non-glossy look, compared to the stock emblem.

Plasti dip is great

Plasti dip is great stuff. I have used it for several different things. Remember the better you prep your surface the better it works. This isn’t one coat and you’re done stuff I usually put around 4-5 coats on. Not really sure I care for this specific color for my application but it definitely holds up to the name

Fun, easy, love the results!

I decided to “black out” my Chevy bow tie, but didn’t want flat black. This color is beautiful! My car is silver and it compliments it well. I didn’t realize the instructions on the can recommend applying over top of black plastidip to get the color of the cap, so I had to run out and buy black too (it’s cheaper on amazon then local car parts store FYI).I’m so happy with the results though!!! It was surprisingly easy to apply and turned out perfect. I would recommend YouTube tutorial first. It’s been about 2 months since I applied, and it’s holding up just fine to daily driving, rain, car washes, etc. honestly, if it does ever start to peel off, it’s cheap and easy enough to be worth reapplying!

Not a strong finish

I put several coats on and let it cure 2 weeks and the finish peels very easily. I can't imagine any practical application of value for this product. The rubber coating should be stronger, resilient and be able to be handled. It does not. I would get a refund if I could. A waste of money.

I used four cans black, two cans gunmetal grey metalizer (graphite) on four wheels.... IT'S FREAKING AWESOME

Wow it looks ridiculously good. Really gives my car a premium look, love it. Looks super smooth and pairs really nicely with VHT caliper paint. If you look at my pictures you will see a .45 casing on my tire stem. These are incredibly easy to make, just epoxy, plastic stem caps and an ammunition casings. Poke a hole in the plastic cap prior to shoving it in the casing to relieve air pressure to prevent an epoxy mess. In one of the pictures my Mazdas wheels (and mirrors and body under the doors) are plasti dip black, figured I'd post it for comparison. Anyway, this plasti dip completely changes the look of my car, you should buy some.*********ONE****MONTH****UPDATE*********It is holding up exceptionally well. Today (Oct 7th.15) a friend asked me if i had gotten new rims. Godd*** I love plasti dip.
