Good base, will require modification!
It's a nice starting point. It will require modification to work for your car. To get them to work nicely you'll need a strong adhesive to connect the adapter to the H7 plate that will come with your LED bulbs, a grinder to trim the edges to get them to fit snug, and I had to change the o-rings to something thinner as the ones that come with them are a bit robust.and would not fit into my headlight housing.

Good concept, flawed in practice
I got this to retrofit HID bulbs into the projector headlights the previous owner of my '99 E39 had fitted.First off, this is a nice concept, but the execution failed. The pattern of lugs is correct, and it comes with new OE sized o-ring.Critically, the seat of the o-ring is too large in diameter, and even with some high temp grease and lots of pushing, I could not get either to engage. It needs a thinner o-ring or a seat the same diamater as an OE lamp holder. There's very little material to grab onto as well. I understand some LED retrofits are a tight squeeze, but both make this a flop for HID bulbs.I used the o-rings off of them, then gutted the lamp holders already on my headlights.

Not a good fit!
I tried these on my 2001 BMW E39 5 series, To replace the OEM halogen low beam bulb! With a highly reputable led bulb!!! I’m not a fan of xenon bulbs and Never have! I’m an auto tech!!! Sorry this item will not properly work without a smaller O-ring lube and more! Just remove the original socket cut as I have! Sand the inner diameter to fit Perfectly!

Gotta have it for low beams in an e39
Perfect for runners ng aftermarket low beams in e39 bmw cars requires slight trimming to fit well and you will need to use some strong adhesive to glue the light to this adapter

Kinda work?
You will have to cut these if you are buying them for a BMW E39. They will work but you have to cut most of the round flange off.

Almost perfect
It does fit around most led bilbs, but did not fit around h7 led due to the wiring harness located on the side of the fan motor. The did fit perfect on h11 led headlight light bulbs, but not for my 2002 BMW 530i.
